If you want to be a vampire, be sure you know the history. In this instance, I take from many sources.
Vlad Dracula
Vampireism began nearly 567 years ago in the lands of Wallachia(what is today an informal region in southern Romania). It all began with a man known as Vlad Tepes, Vlad the Impaler, or better known as, Vlad III Dracula. Vlad born in the Transylvanian city of Sighiºoara during the winter of 1431. He was born as the second son to his father Vlad Dracul and his mother Princess Cneajna of Moldovia. He had an older brother Mircea and a younger brother Radu, the Handsome. Although his native country was Wallachia to the south, the family lived in exile as his father had been ousted by pro-Turkish boyars. In the same year as his birth, his father, Vlad Dracul, could be found in Nuremberg, where he was invested into the Order of the Dragon. At the age of five, young Vlad was also initiated into the Order of the Dragon and given the name Dracula, meaning the son of Dracul.
Dracula's older brother Mircea was also dead at this point, blinded with hot iron stakes and buried alive by his political enemies at Târgoviºte. The Turks then invaded Wallachia and the Sultan put Dracula on the throne as his puppet ruler. His rule was brief. It was not long before Hunyadi himself invaded Wallachia with the Hungarian military and ousted the Turks.
Dracula fled to Moldavia until October of 1451 and was put under the protection of his uncle, Bogdan II. During his escape, he had the shoes on his horse put on backwards to confuse anyone who tried to follow him.
Around 1475 Dracula was again ready to make another bid for power. Dracula and Prince Stefan Báthory of Transylvania invaded Wallachia with a mixed force of Transylvanians, a few dissatisfied Wallachian boyars, and a contingent of Moldavians sent by Dracula's cousin, Prince Stephen III of Moldavia. Dracula's brother, Radu the Handsome, had died a couple of years earlier and had been replaced on the Wallachian throne by another Turkish candidate, Basarab the Elder, a member of the Dãneºti clan. At the approach of Dracula's army, Basarab and his cohorts fled, some to the protection of the Turks, others to the shelter of the Transylvanian Alps. After placing Dracula on the throne, Stephen Báthory and the bulk of Dracula's forces returned to Transylvania, leaving Dracula in a very weak position. Dracula had little time to gather support before a large Turkish army entered Wallachia determined to return Basarab to the throne. Dracula's cruelties over the years had alienated the boyars who felt they had a better chance of surviving under Prince Basarab. Apparently, even the peasants, tired of the depredations of the Impaler, abandoned him to his fate. Dracula was forced to march to meet the Turks with the small forces at his disposal, somewhat less than four thousand men.
Dracula's body was decapitated by the Turks and his head was sent to Istanbul preserved in honey, where the sultan had it displayed on a stake as proof that the Impaler was dead. He was reportedly buried at a monastery located at Snagov, near Bucharest. "Vlad the Impaler" is said to have killed from 20,000 to 40,000 European civilians
Dracula
Thus it doesn't end there... Vlad rose again, anew, single handedly killing many of the Turks. His new power was amazing, and unknown to even himself. But it seemed he being reborn was a great accomplishment... Vlad would stay in the dark for the next hundred years until Van Helsing arrived in 1897 . Vlad had spread his Vampireism across the world. Though, no vampire stood up to his power, and none of them were as pure as he. The first vampires were granted imortality, and some of his power when they drank his blood as well. Others were left to be normal vampires with enhanced strength, speed, and sight. But the vampires corroded over time, each bite after the next lowered their purity...
Van Helsing had tried to stop Dracula. He like Paladin Alexander Anderson was a Vatican, stabbing Dracula in the heart with a wooden steak he supposibly killed him. This story still isn't over. Dracula was dead for the moment, giving Helsing a false sense of victory. Helsing left Dracula's castle and ventured on to London. It wasn't until the start of World War II that Dracula would show himself again, this time under another name, Alucard.
The Rise of the Master Vampire
Alucard heard of an organization known as Hellsing, and thought it be a connection to Van Helsing. He broke down the doors of the mansion, quickly taken down the guards, and moved on to the owned, Author Hellsing. Alucard was thrawted by hellsings will. He was defeated by him and Walter c. Dornez. As Author Hellsing would say,'We have finally acheived over 100 years of work...'
It wouldn't be for another few years until Aurthor Hellsing would pass away and give his young daughter the Hellsing mansion. His brother, Integrals uncle was a greedy man and wanted Hellsing for his own. He was going to kill Integral and take the Hellsing organization. Integra had followed her fathers orders,'If you ever are in despiration and need a weapon to help you... Go to the Dungeons, you will find what you need there.'
Integral stumbled apon a blood sealed door. She felt the darkness within' flash backs of death, war, battle, but her uncle and his body guards were moving in on her, she opened the door and was shot in the shoulder. Her blood fell at the feet of a withered corpse that was chained to a wall in a straight jacket.
Integrals Uncle was about to kill her when he noticed the Corpse was moving, drinking the blood that Integral had lost. It was Alucard, he broke the chains and ripped the straight jacket's bands off, quickly killing the two body guards and drinking their blood. He killed Integral's uncle and was about to kill her when he noticed she wasn't fearing him. With her courage and will and the binds he had to Hellsing, he joined them.
